David and Goliath

by Douglas Raeside

A giant man, versus stubborn might,

When hit with rock, got almighty fright.

This puny man, determined sling,

Warrior of truth, ancestors do sing.

Odds favour, yes the brave,

So say fans, as Goliath in grave.

Father of Jews, force he use,

Was violence necessary, to abuse.

Force used, a biblical right,

Even when, yes unfair fight .

Do the innocent, need, suffer at all,

Not in God’s rules, not His call .

Love and peace, not bombs abuse,

A human right, so so obtuse.

When will our, inhumanity stop,

From human ignorance, at the top?
