Jeanette was first published in Horse and Pony magazine at the age of ten. Now she’s a grown-
up, allegedly, she strives for equal accolades and has written several novels as well as shorter
pieces. Under the pen name of Jinny Alexander, she is the author of the Jess O’Malley Irish
Village Mysteries; the Mrs Smith’s Suspects cozy mystery series; a non-fiction account of her
work as an online teacher, and a handful of standalone contemporary fiction novels. She has also
had success in short story and flash competitions and secured a publishing deal in December
2020 for her first three novels. Jeanette has an MA in Creative Writing and has been published
by Writing Magazine; MsLexia; Bath Flash Fiction; Flash 500; Grindstone Literary, and Writer’s
Playground among others.
When not writing, Jeanette teaches English as a foreign language to people all over the world,
where she finds endless inspiration. Her home for now is in rural Ireland, which she shares with
her husband and far too many animals. Her two children have grown and flown but return across
the Irish Sea when they can. She quite likes to shut the door on them all and write.
