Happy twittermas everybody!
Or is it Xmas nowadays?
I’d much rather say Happy Christmas,
in lieu of a modern phrase.
I mean, Christmas has a meaning,
of which some are unaware;
and others love their screening,
and rarely ever care.
It’s not all gifts and glitter;
not the drink nor wrapping paper;
not Facebook friends nor twitter,
nor a passing childhood caper.
It is a magic from the past,
a story worth being told;
always going to last,
even when we’re old.
