We have all become followers
Click bait, sheep
Giving more and more of our
Protective wool
To keep the rich man warm
But the dog(e)s keep separating us
Setting us astray
Dismantling the flock where we were safe, and warm, he(a)rd
and the weakest among us, those most in need of our help
Separated and branded, labelled like
Lambs to the slaughter
Our darkest history, a forgotten fashion faux pas returned
Have we learned nothing from the Holocaust
Our slave master, the phone in our hands
Our hands, our future, yet, distracted
We let the wolf in
Fail to see what lies beneath
Without the wool in our eyes, we are all the same
Under our skin
And the wolf in sheep’s clothing, is penning us in,
Closing the gate
Weeding out the leaders, finding his believers
Spreading hate and fear, so he can lead
His plan from the start
We don’t need to follow a shepherd
If we follow our hearts
