They tumbled, they fell,
they let out a yell.
They are sick, broken down,
they are lost in that town.
They said there was no delay,
they wouldn’t stay the day.
They met someone they knew,
their car is clamped in a bay.
They’ve run out of fuel,
the wipers broke in the rain.
They’re scared, they’re worn out,
they’re calling my name.
They took a wrong turn,
they have lost their way.
They have no signal to call,
their sat nav went astray.
They’ve gone off the road,
they’re cold, they’re alone.
They’ve left me in fear,
they have no one near.
They have crashed,
their car smashed.
They need me,
they can’t see me.
They need my protection,
they need my support.
They’re in an ambulance.
they are hurt, I hope not.
They have my heart broken,
they could give me a token.
They see the big smile on my face as
they drive in the gate.
